Tiki 38 boat kit

This kit was an event that just happened over time,Dan purchased the Tiki 38 plans from James Wharram, then came to CKD Boats cc to purchase his ockume marine plys, oregon timbers and epoxies,at the time I suggested we could look at doing at least the bulkhead shapes off plan? It went quite a lot further as Dan built the frames up,with input from himself,we then cut the lower and upper hull skins and cross beams, plus some other small parts.Prices on the timber materials list, epoxies, glass cloth, plywoods and CNC works are available on request at kits@comlumber.com

Please note,we will only supply those who can proove they have paid for their plans.

A request for our kit pricing came in from Robert in the USA the same day I posted the blog on the design, this was my reply:

Dated November 27th 2010 and in Cape Town,South Africa,we can ship world wide.

I have a list of what was cut on a local Tiki 38,the decks were not done

using plywoods, they used Nida Core instead,we can supply that also, or the plywood required as in the design?

Plywoods,BS 1088 marine grade in Ockume veneers,sheet size is 2.44 x 1.22 mtrs (8'x 4')

9 mm x 41 sheets....................................R22,673

12 mm x 9 sheets....................................R 8,946

18mm x 5 sheets....................................R 4,970

Totals R36,589 or

about U$5227 at todays exchange rate?

Panels cut and CNC works on 55 sheets to make the panels listed

below.............R13,750 or about U$1965 ?

you can take all or any part of what we offer, epoxies sell at R85 a kg,you

will require possibly 150kgs?

We can also supply the glass cloth and timber parts?

This is what we can CNC cut at this time.
