It was an old digital Sony CyberShot about 10 years old, with automatic focusing etc etc as I do not understand focal lengths and F-stops and all that stuff,

The ultimate Toylander drive battery

Left click the picture to view in a larger size.

As ever time will tell on that but with the works Toylander wheels finally arriving from the suppliers and this battery being delivered by Andrew, our first Toylander kit customer,we will find out soon enough. Andew thinks this kind of sealed gel battery, which is a whopping 110amp size (C20) or 95amps (C5), is used on things like golf carts,so will be well suited to our Toylanders. Made in the EU by Exide Technologies and marked Sonnenschein, with a top lable Otto Bock quality for life 0126,it will need good securing nylon web straps to tie it down.

At the sign of the flying whale

My thanks to Charles from yacht Umande,on the HBYC marina for posing with his newpaper and boat.
I am cautious when out sailing when whales are concerned, even the sight of a large Sunfish normally has me heading a less expensive way, this front page on the Cape Argus seems to back up my feelings. The place was Grainger Bay,just inside Table Bay,Cape Town.

Carbon Fibre mast and spar kits

Carbon Fibre Mast kits in South Africa coming soon.

With interest in the designs from Bernd Kholer, some of which require carbon spars, I have thought up a process to either have us supply the masts as a kit,or for us to manufacture in house,as a kit its very light so will ship anyplace,we supply the materials and you supply the labour, always a good idea for those with more time than money! The section shapes can be round, oval or rectangular,we will also supply the CNC plates and fittings in 316 stainless steel if required.
