Marine plys cost a good bit more than lower grade hardwood exterior plys but why? well in marine plys both faces are clear of repairs and the internal veneers are full faced and have no damage either.With marine ply the finsh is smoother and the weight is as much as 30% lighter than exterior plys,you get what you pay for,so use the right ply when you build your boat,you will never regret it.
